The performance gathers the audience in order to engage a system of fluctuating voices, languages and locations. Drawn from collaborative tasks and interviews within the Israeli-German group, as well as from the artist’s observations throughout Germany, Israel, and its neighboring countries, the focus shifts from the experiences of young soldiers from different countries to aspects of botany, right up to questions of observing, sharing and remembering. Set in an intimate situation with the audience, the political and the personal scopes of the performance increase and dwindle over the course of the performance, posing questions about submissiveness and subjectivity, territory and mythology, body and attention. Can we perceive what we see? Can we speak about, what we encounter – what we remember?

Felix Meyer-Christian, born 1979 in Lüneburg, Germany, based in Hamburg, often engages in on-site-research in contexts outside of Europe and presents works within the fields of documentary-based performance, dance and the visual arts. Having completed degrees in Geography, International Law and Theater Directing in Berlin, Lisbon and Hamburg, he works as the artistic director of costa compagnie, as well as in solo projects, with a focus on global transformational processes.
